Questions about the Jumper Wire Kit (M-M)
Which jumper type do I actually need?
Male-to-male for breadboard-to-breadboard. Female-to-male for connecting a sensor module's header pins into a breadboard. Female-to-female for joining two boards that both have male pins. Most people end up needing all three, and male-to-male runs out first.
Can I pull the strip apart into single wires?
Yes. The ribbon separates cleanly by hand into individual leads or into groups of whatever width you need.
Do the colours mean anything?
Nothing electrically — every wire is identical. Use them as your own convention, most commonly red for positive and black for ground, so a wiring mistake is visible at a glance.
