LED Green
৳2
Standard 5 mm green LED with a forward voltage around 2.1V, taking roughly a 220Ω series resistor on a 5V rail.
Green reads as "working" or "ready" in almost every interface, which makes it the default choice for a healthy-status indicator.
What you can build
- Ready, OK and power-good indicators
- Traffic light models and teaching sets
- Progress and level displays in an LED bar

Questions about the LED Green
Which resistor should I use with a green LED?
220Ω on 5V for a standard green. Note that pure green and emerald types run at a higher forward voltage, closer to 3V, and want 100Ω instead — if the LED looks noticeably dim on 220Ω, that is probably which type you have.
Can I put two LEDs in series on 5V?
Two greens at roughly 2.1V each is 4.2V, leaving under a volt across the resistor. It technically works but the brightness becomes very sensitive to supply variation. Wire them in parallel with their own resistors instead.
Which leg is positive?
The longer leg is the anode, and the flat notch on the rim marks the negative cathode.
