SG90 Servo Motor

৳180

Small 9 gram hobby servo with roughly 180 degrees of travel, driven by a standard 50 Hz PWM signal.

One signal pin sets the angle, and the servo holds that position against load. It is the cheapest way to add controlled movement to a project, and it ships with the usual set of horns and screws.

What you can build

  • Robot arms, grippers and pan-tilt camera mounts
  • Automatic doors, latches and dispensers
  • Steering for small RC and robotics builds

Questions about the SG90 Servo Motor

Can I power a servo from the Arduino's 5V pin?
For one unloaded servo, usually yes. Under load the current spikes will reset the board. Give servos their own 5V supply and connect the grounds together.
Why does the servo buzz and jitter once it reaches position?
It is hunting around the target, normally because of an unstable supply or a noisy control signal. A separate power supply with a capacitor across it usually cures it. Detaching the servo in software once it has arrived also works.
Can it rotate a full 360 degrees?
Not this one. It is a positional servo limited to about 180 degrees. Continuous-rotation servos look identical from the outside but control speed instead of angle, so check which one your project needs before ordering.
