Fire / Flame Sensor Module
৳130
Infrared flame detector that responds to the 760–1100 nm light a flame emits, with both an analog level and an adjustable digital trigger.
It looks for the specific infrared signature of fire rather than heat, so it reacts far faster than a temperature sensor. Sensitivity is set with the onboard potentiometer.
What you can build
- Fire alarm and safety cut-off projects
- Firefighting robots that steer toward a flame
- Gas stove and burner monitoring

Questions about the Fire / Flame Sensor Module
Does it detect heat or actual flame?
Flame. It responds to the infrared light a fire emits, not to air temperature, so it reacts within moments of ignition rather than waiting for the room to warm up.
Why does it trigger in sunlight?
Daylight contains plenty of infrared in the same band. Shield the sensor from direct sun, point it away from windows, or turn the sensitivity down with the potentiometer.
How far away can it detect a fire?
It depends entirely on the size of the flame. A candle is only detected at close range while a larger fire registers much further out. Treat it as a short-range detector and place it accordingly.
