Questions about the Jumper Wire Kit (F-F)
When would I use female-to-female?
When both things you are connecting have male pins — a sensor module wired straight to an Arduino, for example, with no breadboard between them. It is the usual choice once a project moves out of the prototyping stage.
Can I use these with a breadboard?
Not directly, because a breadboard needs a pin pushed into a hole and both ends here are sockets. Push a short male header pin into the socket first and it will work.
Are they the same 2.54 mm pitch as the others?
Yes. All standard Dupont leads share the same 2.54 mm spacing and interchange freely.
