MAX30102 Heart Rate & SpO2 Sensor
৳550
Optical pulse and blood-oxygen sensor over I2C, using red and infrared LEDs to read heart rate and SpO2 from a fingertip.
It measures how much red and infrared light the blood absorbs and derives both figures from the difference. Intended for learning and prototyping, not for clinical use.
What you can build
- Fitness and heart-rate monitor prototypes
- Health-tech coursework and final-year projects
- Data logging of pulse over time

Questions about the MAX30102 Heart Rate & SpO2 Sensor
Is this accurate enough for medical use?
No. It is a hobby and prototyping sensor. Readings vary with finger pressure, ambient light and skin tone, and it carries no medical certification. Never use it to make a health decision.
Why are my readings unstable?
Nearly always finger placement. The finger must rest lightly and completely still over both LEDs, with no gap and no pressing. Shield the sensor from room light and discard the first few seconds of samples while the signal settles.
Does the module output heart rate directly?
No. It streams raw red and infrared samples, and the beats-per-minute figure is calculated in your code. Use one of the published MAX30102 libraries rather than writing the signal processing yourself.
